Pain Management
Pain can be acute or chronic. Acute pain, usually resulting from injury, requires herbal and acupuncture treatments to move and release the discomfort. Chronic pain involves a focus on nourishing and supporting the body to relieve distress. It’s important to treat pain as early as possible. Left untreated, minor discomfort such as neck pain can lead to postural or gait changes that create lasting harm. Pain is our body’s clearest warning sign that something needs to be addressed to prevent future issues.
In addition to treating acute and chronic pain, acupuncture can also help identify other underlying conditions that may be contributing to or causing the issue. Relief typically comes with the first visit and continues to gradually build over the course of treatment.

Why choose Acupuncture and TCM?
Fast and effective relief – Acupuncture leads to release of endorphins and other neurohumoral factors and changes the processing of pain in the brain and spinal cord. When receiving acupuncture for pain relief there should be some degree of immediate relief. Though individual results vary, most patients experience notably reduced levels of pain during and immediately after being treated. This is often used in conjunction with Herbal Medicine that encourages healing and better health in the body.
Reducing inflammation - by promoting release of vascular and immunomodulatory factors,
increasing local microcirculation, which aids dispersal of swelling and bruising.
Non-invasive procedures – Treatment with acupuncture and TCM is carried out in an unobtrusive way with minimum discomfort. The therapeutic value of these interventions does not require the sacrifice of one aspect of the body for the benefit of another or any type of surgery.
Individual attention – No two problems are the same and therefore no two treatments should be the same. Our acupuncture and TCM professionals are trained to use the appropriate treatment to meet your individual needs both for the immediate and longer term goals.
The best way to determine whether acupuncture is the right fit for you is through an assessment. This allows us to get a full picture of your situation, and explain the possible options or course of treatment.
